In my original Power Point Game I picked the activity to be about weather. The game is called "ALL ABOUT WEATHER!!" . The game its self is very simple. I am not very creative so it was hard to come up with a complete game idea. I came did the weather because in kindergarten you learn about your basic weather ideas: the seasons, a bit about the water cycle, natural disasters, and key terms. For the most part you do not go into depth with each of those but the students learn the basic infromation.
"ALL ABOUT WEATHER!!" is a very simple game the rules are not hard to understnad, there are no game pieces, or oddly asked question. I did this because as a kindergarten student you are still learning a game with too much to do might confuse you or you might even look past the information. Each student will play by, reading each question then clicking on what they think the right answer is. They tally of how many they get right and at the end they can buy a treat that has to go a long with weather, a blizzard ice cream treat, a snow cone, sunglasses, and other such items. Since the game is so simple I thought that maybe the idea of keeping score and getting a treat in the end is what will keep the child occupied. Also I tried to keep the colors bright and have many pictures so they students would not get borad.
Learning how to make the game was fun and taught me a lot about Power Point i learned new things it could do such as the action buttons and being able to send it to different slides, so to me this would make it a high LoTi level. However for most people it would not be a high LoTi level because there is not too much difficult computer interaction between computer and the student. Also the student does not learn any new skills in doing this game. But I still enjoyed the long work putting into this game.
