Kidspiration-
Kidspiration was so much fun to work with. Being able to play around with this software before we made the project helped out a lot. Playing made me aware of what this software had to offer. Never hearing of this before the things it could do amazed me and even how easy it was surprised me. I can see how using this program is a great teaching tool for any teacher of any grade level.They could use this for themselves in making presentations or even the studnets being able to work with it something the teacher made for them.
In my kidspiriation I wanted something fun that the students would be able to use other buttons to do this. Knowing that, in kindergarten the students learn about the seasons. I knew that knowing what went with which season would be a great activity. So I picked clip art that went with different seasons that the children could place in the correct box. Since the children still do not have reading skills, they are able to click on the listen button then on the words so they can know which box is each season.
Kidspiration project could be put on any level of LoTi, it all depends on how the teacher uses it. Whether it is an aid or an activity for the students. Concept maps that the students must finish off different bubbles would be a higher level LoTi. A activity like mine would be a lower level LoTi because only basic computer skills are needed, just knowing how to work a mouse. So with two extremes such as these all levels of LoTi could be represented in Inspiration or Kidspiration projects.
Working with kidspiration was fun and easy. Knowing how to use it now can help me later when I have my own classroom. Even now as a student I could still use the Inspiration program to set up concept maps or any other helpful things in my studying. Please check out my activity. THE SEASONS
